Simple Tips on Creative Wall Decoration

by on Mar.10, 2009, under Home Management

How to decorate a blank wall without drilling a hole is one of the most common problems of tenants/occupants to a space they are renting because often times landlords prohibits drilling a hole on the wall.

I have gathered few possible options that might help if this is the case and they are:

1. Drill a Hole Anyway

  • Well if you really like to hang your favorite portrait, try drilling a hole and promise your landlord that you will fill-up the whole anyway the moment you move out. Just be sure you had their approval before risking being thrown out. :-)

2. Lean your paintings against the wall

  • I already saw this concept to some famous houses featured on TV shows. They just place their painting on the floor or tables.

3. Paint your walls

  • Try maximizing the use of wall paints by doing some artistic accents to liven up your wall.

4. Accessorize

  • Make use of ornamentals and tall vases instead

5. Be creative and artistic

  • Instead of using framed pictures or paintings, try using cloth, poster or tarpaulins. They can look stylish if done creatively.

6. Liquid Nails and Double Adhesive Tapes
You can use adhesive tapes and liquid nails but the weight of the item you will hang is limited only to a few grams.

DÉCOR TIPS & QUIPS from AlphabetPIX

Bring Out The YOU In Your Home Decor!

Bill Blass said, ìStyle is primarily a matter of instinct.î Decorating takes on a new meaning for each individual. Different tastes in dècor mean different furniture, artwork and color palettes. So what is the rule of thumb for making your place zing if itís not a certain style, pattern, or color?

    Bring out the Y-O-U!

Make a statement and let your personality shine through! Add your zing to make it pop. Hang something personal on the wall with a few well-chosen accents óbold and beautiful. The trend for decor is becoming more and more personalized.

Whatever you want to say while decorating, say it with your own individual style. Put it out there for the world to see and donít look back. Express yourself! When people enter your home theyíll shoot you a complementary smile, knowing it looks and feels sooooo perfectly like you. And no one can do YOU better.

Great article and it is worth mentioning that Mini blinds are notorious for collecting dust. Their horizontal position creates a flat surface for dust to land on. In addition, they’re almost constantly next to an open window, bringing in added dust with the breezes.
